The Majura

Men’s Shed
alt

This innovative program operates from Northside Community Service in Dickson and provides men with the opportunity to come together and spend time in an atmosphere of mateship.

“Brian, Marcus, Ross and Doug from the Majura Men’s Shed,
installing another successful project at
Kanangra Court, Reid.”

The need...
Many retired men have had to downsize their living arrangements, often resulting in their personal space, usually the garden shed or work-shop, being lost.

Some may just be looking to spend time either in a constructive environment or just with other men of similar interests.

So, the idea of a Men’s Shed was born…
Men come to the men’s shed to share a variety of tools and spend time learning new skills for the first time, keeping old skills honed and productive or just simply to share a cuppa and a chat.

The Majura Men’s Shed…
Has been set up to provide a space for “shed-less blokes.”
The Men’s Shed provides a network into local activities along with encouraging new social activities and friendships.
