Activities at Gunghalin
This program provides an opportunity for local kids to get involved with a large variety of sports and activities in a fun and inclusive way.
The purpose of this program is not only to encourage children and young people to participate in healthy physical activties but also to connect the community with the many fantastic sporting and recreation opportunities that are available in the Gungahlin region.
This is a free sports program for children aged 5 years and over, running at the Ngunnawal Sports Grounds every Wednesday and Moncrieff Recreation Park every Thursday from 3:30-5pm and everyone is welcome. The sessions are facilitated by local sporting clubs and organisations who generously donate their time to show case their sport or activity. Children get the opportunity to try out a wide range of activities from Soccer to Hockey and even other activties like Frisbee, Skipping rope, Taekwondo, Dancing, etc.
*The initiative is possible because of the funding provided by the ACT Health Directorate Health Promotions Grant.
