This year’s National Child Protection Week theme, “Every Conversation Matters: Shifting Conversation to Action”, highlights the importance of turning conversations about child safety into meaningful actions that protect and support children. The theme encourages adults and organisations to create environments where children know their voices matter and where concerns are listened to and acted upon.

Educators supported children to practise simple phrases, helping them build confidence in expressing their boundaries and communicating their feelings.

Across all three services, National Child Protection Week provided opportunities to strengthen children’s understanding of their rights, build resilience and encourage positive help-seeking behaviours.

While National Child Protection Week shines a spotlight on child safety each September, these conversations continue throughout the year. Creating child-safe environments is embedded in everyday practice across Northside’s early childhood services, with educators working alongside children and families to foster trust, 我们了解丰富学习环境的重要性，让孩子们在自然和建筑环境中成长并挑战他们的思维, wellbeing and inclusion.

By supporting children to understand their feelings, communicate their needs and identify trusted people in their lives, educators are helping lay the foundations for children to grow into confident, connected and empowered young people.
